A week ago a new international project “Beyond the consumer” was launched in Užupis - Vilnius neighborhood famous for it’s artists and bohemian atmosphere. The aim of this project is to revive the art of drawing in the streets so it could become an alternative for graffiti, widespread on the old town walls.

The first artist that came to Vilnius is an unconventional illustrations creator, painter from Berlin Johannes Mundinger. He chose an extraordinary place in Užupis - Jonas Mekas passage - and colored it with bright contemporary pictures.

In November and December two more artists will present their works in Užupis: sculptors Katarzyna Warzewska-Adamowski and Tadeusz Adamowski from Poland and Finland’s artist Johhana IIivessalo.
