The Television Tower is one of the tallest buildings in Eastern Europe. It is 326,5 metres high. A photography exhibition devoted to one of the country’s biggest fights for independence on January 13, 1991 is displayed on the ground floor. The tower is open for visitors: a lift takes You up to an observation platform in 45 seconds. The platform is a circular room (at the height of 165 metres), which is permanently slowly turning around itself, taking about one hour to complete a circle.
There is a restaurant „The Milky Way“, where You can appreciate a spectacular view of Vilnius and the surrounding countryside within the radius of 50 kilometres.
